Brentford Trounce Man United 4-0 As Ten Hag Endure Embarrassing Afternoon

Manchester United have suffered one of their worse defeats in premier history following a 4-0 humiliation in the hands of Brentford.

Erik ten Hag’s men were looking to bounce back from last week’s poor show at home to Brighton and Hove Albion but four first half goals completed a famous victory for Brentford and for Man United an embarrassing game to forget.

Josh Dasilva opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Mathias Jensen doubled the lead eight minutes later as Man United endure a false start to the game. David de Gea was at fault for both goals.

Ben Mee got the third before Bryan Mbeumo added the icing on the cake to complete the trouncing.

Manchester United were passengers all over the place, with a disjointed team failing to put the jigsaw pieces all together as against Brentford’s impressive pace, precision and movement on display.

Ten Hag made three changes at the break that at least helped prevented the Bees onslaught.

Brentford has become only the third side to put four pass United in the first half of a premier league.
