Due to the little pay they receive, the Central Regional Fufu Pounders Association has threatened to go on strike.
Their reasons are that, chop bar owners pay them as little as GHC15 to GHC20 per day where they are supposed to earn between 50 to 70gh.
They complained that even though they are paid little, their job is one of the hardest.
According to members, fufu machine being in the system has kind of made their works slow but feedback from fufu lovers shows that, most people prefer the traditional way of preparing fufu than the current modern ones.
The members threatened to go on strike unless chop bar owners raised their pay at a news conference held at Awutu Bereku.
