C/R: RAND FOUNDATION COMMISSIONS LIBRARY, URGES STUDENTS TO CULTIVATE HABIT OF READING.

The CEO for Rand Foundation, Dr Rosemond Aboagye has admonished students to cultivate the habit of reading since it forms the basis of one’s education.

She bemoaned the current trend where students had abandoned reading in preference to patronizing television programmes and video centres.

Speaking at the inauguration of a fully funded library at Nyanyano Kakraba A.M.E Zion Dr Rosemond Aboagye indicated, she was embarking on this projects during one of her community outreaches Reading program in the same school where it came to her notice that the school lacks library.

The NGO’s aim is to get people, especially the youth, to develop through knowledge acquisition by the act of reading.

Co-partner for Rand foundation, Dr Collins Osei Koranteng urged school authorities to ensure proper maintenance culture to keep the facility in shape and running.

The headmistress of Nyanyano kakraba A.M.E Zion school Mrs Agnes  Arthur, on the other hand, lauded Rand foundation their supporting partners , Ghana library Authority , Rotary club etc for their kind gestures towards the school and also pledged to ensure proper maintenance culture to keep the facility running.
