Seven pupils from Mozano Senior High School in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region were run over by a Hyundai urvan with the Registration Number GW 992-09 during a float, and they are currently in critical condition and being treated at the Agona Swedru government hospital.
The seven pupils, according to a source, participated in a float that was prepared by Nananom and locals of Gomoa Ahyiem as part of the celebration of their annual Akwambo Festival. As the float was moving, a car failed to halt and suddenly drove over the students.
The Agona Swedru government hospital has two of the seven students who have suffered varied degrees of damage on life support.
The Agona Abodom district police command has detained the Hyundai urvan’s driver pending additional investigation.
