Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu’s body arrived in Ghana on Sunday, evening, February 19th 2023.
Scores of Ghanaians thronged the Kotaka International Airport to mourn the late footballer.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was there at the airport to welcome the lifeless body of Atsu.
In a video that has surfaced online, Christian Atsu’s twin sister is seen weeping.
The young lady could not hold herself back as she touched down in Ghana without his brother.
She is seen with a lady friend who was trying to calm her down.
It’s obviously devastating that she travelled all the way from the U.K to Turkey to help rescue her brother but rather ended up seeing his dead body under rubble.
Ghanaian winger, Christian Atsu was affected by the Turkey earthquake.
Christian Atsu was found by the rescue team on day 12 on Saturday 18th February 2023 although the incident occurred on the 6th.
Earlier, a report circulated that Christian Atsu had been found with a slight leg injury but it turned out to be false information.
He was later found dead and his body has been airlifted to Ghana.
