Real Madrid edged out Al Hilal in an eight goal thriller to secure their fifth world title in Morocco.
Los Blancos’ young-stars Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde each hit a brace to ensure Carlo Ancelotti’s side win the tournament for the first time since 2018.
The current European and Spanish champions went ahead in the early exchanges. Vinicius clipped home while Valverde fired in a brilliant second to put Madrid in a comfortable lead.
Moussa Marega pulled one back for Al Hilal and appeared to be well back into the contest.
Karim Benzema tapped home the third from Vinicius’s audacious cross while Valverde curled home his second of night but Luciano Vietto scored to give the Saudi Arabian side another lifeline.
Vinicius added his second of the night and Madrid’s fifth to wrap up the game before Vietto bagged his second.
Real Madrid clinched their first title of the season after losing out in the Spanish Supercopa final to Barcelona.
