The Office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications in the Awutu Senya East Constituency has seen a press release dated September 2, 2022, which was signed by the constituency communications officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Delali Sewoekpor, with the heading “What is President Akufo-Addo coming to commission in Kasoa”. The Communications Office of the NPP in the Awutu Senya East Constituency finds the press release as the most spurious, awry, anomalous, flawed, and not per the reality in the constituency.
Before we return the NDC to its rightful place, we would like to thank H.E Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, for visiting Awutu Senya East Constituency and taking time out of his busy schedule to inspect the court complex office project his government is doing for the good people of the constituency.
The widely not thought-through press release by the NDC in the constituency was necessitated by the huge number of people in Kasoa who followed the President, H.E. Akufo-Addo when he started his central region tour in Kasoa.
The huge crowd that followed H.E Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana, has intoxicated NDC supporters and made Delali Sewoekpor and his NDC in the constituency convinced that if an election is held today, H.E Akufo-Addo and the NPP Parliamentary candidate in the constituency will win massively. Though Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson, Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency, has suffocated the NDC in the constituency with huge projects and good policies, the presence of H.E Akufo-Addo has killed the spirit of the NDC in the constituency, especially the party leadership hence the rush by their communications Officer to release something into the media just to indicate that the NDC is still alive in the constituency, though it is struggling to stand the test of NPP government and good administration of Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson.
They could have served the dying NDC better if they had not come out with this baseless press release in which they highlighted the projects they claimed the NDC did in their 8 years in government.
This is because every citizen of Ghana, including a day-born child, knows that Awutu Senya East Constituency is the constituency that suffered most under the NDC government.
The office of the NPP communication in the Awutu Senya East Constituency is not surprised about the hurried manner in which the NDC communication officer issued the press statement about H.E Akufo-Addo because that position was once called propaganda secretary; a position created to malign, intimidate, destroy and assassinate the characters of well-to-do players in Ghanaians politics. A political position tasked with disseminating propaganda, lies, and falsehoods. The propaganda secretary is metamorphosed to be a communications officer, but the core mandates are the same. Delali Sewoekpoe is just harnessing the tradition of the NDC, a tradition of lies, a tradition of character assassination.
However, we want to put it on record that we will never waste our energy meeting them on their way. We are taking Awutu Senya East Politics onto high land that would be very difficult for the NDC to reach. We will do issues-based politics, politics of bread and butter, politics that will change the narrative of ordinary Ghanaians, especially women and children. We will not waste our precious time comparing the achievements of the NPP government and Hon. Hawa Koomson to those of the NDC government. In terms of accomplishment, comparing the NPP and NDC governments is akin to comparing the height of an ant to that of an elephant. It is an indisputable fact that H.E. Akufo-Addo’s government and Hon Hawa Koomson’s have done more projects in the constituency than any government since independence. Unlike NDC government projects, which can only be found in their Green Book, ours are visible and touchable.

Looking at the aforementioned projects that the NPP government has done in the constituency, one could quickly pronounce that the NDC wasted the time of the Awutu Senya East Constituents in their 8 years in government. We are challenging NDC to prove us wrong with any of the projects we have mentioned. Let the NDC in the constituency hallucinate to believe that the NPP government has not done anything in the constituency. Ghanaians are enlightened enough to see the good work of the government.
We would like to assure the citizens that Hon. Hawa Koomson and the government will not relax on their mandate. The government will continue to serve the people until Ghana becomes the country we all wish for. We know Ghanaians have weighed NPP and NDC and they have realised that NPP is the only political party that can lead Ghana to the Promised Land. As a result, we are appealing to everyone to continue supporting the NPP government so that it can fulfil every promise made to Ghanaians. We believe that together we can build Ghana, irrespective of the economic challenges.
Long Live Ghana
Long Live the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Akufo-Addo
Long Hon Hawa Koomson, MP for Awutu Senya East Constituency
