Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, who recently resigned from his post as Minister for Food and Agriculture has formally handed over the Ministry to the Caretaker Minister, Hawa Koomson, Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto at the handing over urged the caretaker Minister to continue with the teamwork he engendered with the Board of Directors of the ministry so as to help the ministry increase productivity and achieve its goals.
“Today[ January 24,2023], I handed over my portfolio to Hawa Koomson who will take over until a substantive minister is appointed by the President. I formally introduced her to the board of directors of the Ministry at a handing over ceremony; urging them to continue with their excellent make teamwork to increase productivity and achieve organizational goals,” Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto announced on social media.
Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a long time ally of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is firmly in competition to lead the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) as its flagbearership and contest the Presidential Elections of 2024. He is competition with persons such as Alan Kyeremanten, Boakye Agyarko, Kennedy Agyapong and several others.
