Court

A Court in Magaji-Gari, Kaduna has dissolved a 3-month-old married of a couple; Muhammad Adulganiyu and Ma’arufat Ibrahim.

According to reports, the husband, Muhammad Adulganiyu alleged that his wife left their matrimonial home without any reason.

“I tried my best to provide for her, but she and her mother do not appreciate my efforts, and we’ve been married barely three months.

“If she’s not interested in the marriage anymore, she should pay me all I spent during the wedding and return the phone and silver rings I gave her,” he said.

However speaking in court about the reason why she left home, the wife of the man said she left to leave with her mother because the man did not provide her with food.

The judge of the court, Rilwan Kyaudai dissolved the marriage after all efforts were made to reconcile the two parties and their guardians proved futile.

The judge ordered the woman to return the N20,000-paid dowry.

“She will also return the marriage suitcases she received and their contents, with the exception of the ones she has sown.

“She will not return the cell phone as requested by the complainant, but she will return the silver rings she received from him,” the judge ruled. (NAN).
