Create Night Market To Generate More Revenue- Kasoa Petty Traders To MCE

Kasoa Petty Traders in the Central Region’s Awutu Senya East Municipality have demanded that Kasoa MCE establish a night market for Kasoa residents so that the Assembly may raise more money to develop Kasoa.

The traders claim that since there is only one job in Kasoa—trading—the Assembly needs to establish a night market for the residents of Kasoa.

The Obaatanpa News The bulk of the traders are not paying taxes to the Assembly because Kasoa is overpopulated and all market places are packed, according to Mireku Nyampong, chairman of the Kasoa PettyTraders Association.

Ernest Acheampong appealed to the Assembly to provide additional market centers and night market for the traders so that all they can also pay more taxes to the government.

During the newly elected executives’ inauguration, swearing-in ceremony, and commissioning of their offices, he made this disclosure.

Anita Love Obo Amissah, the municipal chief executive for the Awutu Senya East Municipality, appealed for unity among Kasoa tiny traders in the meanwhile.

She said that the Assembly would work on it and set up a night market to give most of the vendors enough room to conduct business.
