Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, has expressed his belief that no Ghanaian artist, including himself, can compare to the current status of Nigerian artists like Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid.

He attributed the success of these Nigerian artists to the positive support they receive from their compatriots.

Shatta Wale made these comments in response to a question posed to him during an interview on the entertainment show “SHOWBIZ TODAY” on Empire FM. He highlighted the strong support and unity among Nigerian artists, which he believes has contributed to their rapid growth and global recognition. He mentioned instances where Nigerian artists like Davido and Burna Boy visited him in Ghana and formed strong connections.

Shatta Wale also discussed his own plans to support emerging talents in the Ghanaian music industry and guide them to avoid the mistakes he himself has experienced. He expressed his desire to see the Ghanaian music industry grow and gain recognition on the international stage.

Regarding recent criticism he received from entertainment pundit Ola Michael, who questioned Shatta Wale’s eligibility for a diplomatic passport, the artist defended his actions by pointing out instances where other artists faced controversies. He suggested that media personalities should focus on advocating for artists and industry growth rather than singling out specific individuals for criticism.

Shatta Wale’s comments shed light on the complexities and challenges faced by artists in the music industry, including issues related to support, unity, recognition, and media coverage.
