Desist from Chieftaincy Dispute-Chiefs Told

Former Vice President for National House of Chiefs who is the Paramount Chief for Abease Domenase Traditional area in the Central Region, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi (Vii) has advised his fellow chiefs to desist from chieftaincy disputes which over the years have been an albatross on the neck of the National House of Chiefs

According to him, Land and Chieftancy disputes derail development and cause unnecessary tension in their jurisdictions

He expressed that chieftaincy disputes are assuming an alarming dimension that the chiefs can not sit down unconcern hence the need to call on the chiefs to do something about it

It is in this vein that he advised King Makers to choose the right person during enstoolment to avoid unnecessary chieftaincy disputes.

He made this admonishment during the Coronation of Nana Agyemang Abbeam Danso, Founder of Abbeam Institute of Technology as Nkosuohene( Development Chief) for Ngleshi Amanfrom in the Greater Accra Region.

On his part, Former Trader and Industry Minister, Former NDC Flagbearer Aspirants, Dr Ekow Spio Gabrah said it is worrisome to see Courts of Ghana flooded with Chieftancy and land litigations

He appealed to our chiefs to desist from land guards activities and follow the right procedures to end land litigations

Nkosuohene Nana Agyemang Abbeam Danso promised to use his office to support the brilliant but needy students by giving them scholarships to further their education.

He assured that access to quality health care for his people is his topmost priority.

The event witnessed prominent chiefs and politicians such as Mr Kwabena Duffour Former Finance Minister, Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Kodua Omanhene of Kumawu Traditional area, Nii Quashie Gborlor Divisional Chief of Ngleshi Amanfrom
