Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy has just shown how widespread his fame and influence is by linking up with American superstar DJ Khaled.
The Twice as Tall album coiner was spotted hanging out with DJ Khaled in an in-house studio premised within Khaled’s mansion. This happened after the duo smoked some marijuana probably and ate lobsters.
An excited Khaled took to his Instagram page with photos taken during the studio session with the caption: “Ideas flowing.”
Khaled Mohammed Khaled, better known by his stage name DJ Khaled, is an American DJ, record producer, and executive. Khaled first rose to fame as a radio host in the 1990s on the station 99 Jamz. He then used his fame to become a DJ for Terror Squad’s live concerts.
Burna Boy on the other hand was born in Nigeria’s Rivers State, Port Harcourt. His father, Samuel, had a welding business, while his mother, Bose Ogulu, worked as a translator. Benson Idonije, his maternal grandfather, once worked as Fela Kuti’s manager.
Later, his mother would take over as his boss. Ogulu was born and raised in southern Nigeria, where he first used FL Studio to create his own beats.
In order to further his education, he moved to London after attending Corona Secondary School in Agbara, Ogun State. Later, from 2008 to 2009, he studied media technology at the University of Sussex.
From 2009 to 2010, he studied media communications and culture at Oxford Brookes University. Following his return to Port Harcourt, he accepted a one-year internship at Rhythm 93.7 FM.
