Dr Bawumia attends first Annual National Muslims Conference.

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has joined the National Chief
Imam, the Muslim Caucus of Parliament, eminent Zongo Chiefs and Imams as well as the Muslim community at the National Mosque in Accra, for the first annual National Muslims Conference.

The Conference, organised under the auspices of the National Chief Imam and the Muslim Caucus in Parliament, brought together the various Islamic sects and other Muslim groups to establish what will be an
annual affair to discuss developmental issues.

The inaugural theme of the Conference, which focused on the promotion of education, falls in line with the vision of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to provide quality and accessible education to all Ghanaians.

Dr Bawumia urged the Muslim Ummah to strengthen the beautiful relationship between Muslims and Christians in Ghana enjoy, and also ensure greater cooperation between the two religious groups towards national development.
