The Vice President and Chairman of the Police Council, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, commissioned an ultra-modern central East police command headquarters at Kasoa.
The projects was fully founded by the MP for Awutu Senya East Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson. The central East police command was curved from central regional police command about 4 years ago which service about three constituencies, Awutu Senya East, west and Gomoa East.
During his speech, vice president Dr Bawumia commended Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson for taken that bold step which he believes it will help reduce the crime rate of Kasoa and it’s environs.
Dr Bawumia indicated that, his government has invested heavily more than any government in the fourth republic. He mention of providing the needed logistics for the service and also recruiting more personal into the service.
Also, MP for Awutu Senya East Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson said, the aim of the building is to reduce the crime rate at kasoa. She also promise to provide more logistics for police to make their work easier.
On the part of police, the central East police commander, DCOP Owusu Bempah thank the MP for honoring their request by providing such nice edifice. They also appeal to the vice president to provide them with enough vehicle since the whole region has only one car. He also promise to maintain the edifice.
