One person has been confirmed dead whiles ten passengers have also sustained serious injuries in a gory accident that occurred at Ekumfi Akwakrom on the Kasoa- Cape Coast Highway
The accident was between a Metro Mass bus with a registration number GS 2614-17 from Accra heading towards Takoradi and a Toyota Corolla with a Registration number GV 22-14 from Mankessim in the opposite direction.
Information received indicated that the Toyota Corolla made a wrong overtaking in a sharp curve and unfortunately it collided with the Metro Bus.
In an interview with Obaatanpa news, some of the survivors in the metro mas bus said, their driver saw the Toyota Corolla making a wrongful overtaking and he decided to swerve but was unable to do so hence the collision
The driver of the Toyota Corolla died instantly leaving 10 passengers in the metro bus seriously injured including the driver.
The injured people are receiving treatment at the Mankessim Roman Catholic Hospital whiles the deceased have been deposited at Saltpond mortuary for Preservation and autopsy.
The Deceased is yet to be identified.
The Vehicles have also been sent to Jedu Police Station for investigations.
