Ensure a peaceful Election 2024 – Afenyo-Markin tells Ghanaians

Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has appealed to Ghanaians to prioritize peace and security as the nation gears up for the December 2024 elections.

Addressing constituents in Winneba, he emphasised the importance of tolerance and restraint during the electioneering period, urging citizens to avoid actions that could disrupt the country’s stability.

He further called on political parties, supporters, and all stakeholders to work collectively to safeguard the nation’s reputation as a beacon of democracy in Africa.

“December 7 will come and go. But your relationship with your friend is important. We, the political class, at the level of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, President Akufo-Addo, the former president who is the candidate for the opposition party, down to us, the parliamentarians, we are friends. We are not enemies. Don’t get us wrong.”
