Liverpool have beaten West Ham 1-0 in a feisty encounter to wrap up their first back-to-back league wins for the first time this season.
After putting behind their recent struggles to beat champions Manchester City, the Reds have continued their upturn in form with a narrow 1-0 win over West Ham.
Darwin Nunez scored his first Liverpool goal at Anfield — the Uruguayan got the breakthrough after heading home a fantastic cross from Tsimikas in the 22nd minute and then went close with a half-volleyed effort which hit the woodwork.
Liverpool were the much better side in the entire first half but West Ham were handed the opportunity to comeback into the game with a penalty but Jarrod Bowen saw his penalty saved by Alisson.
In the second half West Ham made frantic efforts to stage a comeback but Jurgen Klopp’s men were resolute as they held on to take all the three points. They have moved to the seventh spot in the League table while West Ham are 13th.
They will travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
