EPL: Man United Stage Comeback To Stun City In Manchester Derby

Manchester United came back from a goal down to struck twice in the space of four minutes in the closing stages to snatch a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Manchester City rarely looked troubled from the opening minutes but they failed to stamp their usual authority on the game as they struggled to locate their marksman Erling Haaland.

Man United gradually grew into the contest, dictating the pace of the game but were unable to make the most out of their chances.

The first half ended in a stalemate but the second was packed with goals, drama and controversies.

Second half substitute Jack Grealish appeared to have handed Man City the winner when he headed home the opener in the 60th minute but in a quick turn of events the Red Devils staged a stunning comeback.

Bruno Fernandes restored parity with a controversial goal after Marcus Rashford was deemed by VAR not to be interfering with play despite his guarding the ball from an offside position.

City remonstrated and registered their displeasure but failed to rally themselves after the resumption allowing Rashford to poke home the winner eight minutes later from Alejandro Garnacho cross.

The results means Arsenal can now stretch their lead to eight points clear at the top if they win against Spurs on Sunday.
