Arsenal fought back in a stunning fashion after a goal down to beat Manchester United 3-2 to continue their elusive Premier League charge.
Eddie Nketiah scored a late winner to help the Gunners crossed the line in a five-goal thriller at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The English striker has been in sensational shape since standing in for injured Gabriel Jesus and has now netted seven goals across all competitions.
Marcus Rashford scored a peach of a goal from just outside the box to continue his own fine run of form but Nkatieh headed home after seven minutes to bring Arsenal back on level pegging.
Bukayo Saka produced a top-drawer by curling into the bottom-left corner to put the hosts ahead after 53 minutes which was cancelled out by Lisandro Martinez following some sloppy defending by Arsenal’s rearguard.
But Nketiah would leave it late as he turned home from close range a Martin Ødegaard’s wayward shot in the 90th minute to round off a memorable win for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Manchester United are the only side to beat the Gunners this season and were well poised to repeat their Old Trafford’s feat at the Emirates with a good start.
However, Arsenal’s recent form is an embodiment of any side with title ambitions — they bounced back in a stunning fashion though United didn’t lie down taking the blows.
The results puts Arsenal to 50 points, five points clear at the Premier League summit with a game in hand.
