EQUIPPED YOURSELF WITH MORDEN TECHNOLOGY, SAMUEL LARBI DARKO TO LiSAG MEMBERS

President of the Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana(LiSAG) has called on the members to abreast themselves with morden methodology in their field of work.

Speaking at the 4th Seminar and Annual General Meeting, the President said land plays a very vital pivotal role in the socio-economic development of every Nation and Surveyors play a critical role in ensuring land management.

He urged the Traditional Rulers to go lands Commission to the list of Licensed Surveyors in the country to work with and to reduce land mitigation in the country.

With over 160 members scarted across the country,Mr Larbi Darko has assured Ghanaians to build capacity of it members to remain viable and attract the next generation.

The member of parliament for Ahafo Anno South also Chairman of the Parliamentary select Committee on Lands and Forestry, Hon.Francis Manu Adabor at same event opined that it about time that miners show their professionalism in their operations.

This according to him,minerals commission who issues land concession for mining has a geographical survey to mineral deposit which can be determined by a professional surveyor.

He is of the view that with this approach it will help minimise the rate at which land are being wasted all in the name of the precious metal(Gold)

Representing the Chief Justice, justice of the supreme Court Baffoe Bonnie called on the licenced Surveyors Association of Ghana to deepen their collaboration with the judiciary since land documentation and registration has alot of transformation.

“I know you have begun some engagements and I urge you to design capacity building workshops to train judges on the rudiments of your practice and the changing phase you so espouse”.

According to him leasing with the judiciary to ensure sanity in land registration since the cadastral plan is one of the foremost documents to be relied on for the transactions.

He further added that Licensed surveyors can help create a digitized land litigated database that would connect judgement from different courts on the same piece of land.
