Manchester City mounted an incredible comeback from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at Etihad Stadium with Erling Haaland putting in a man of the match performance.
The Norwegian scored a second-half hat-trick to save Manchester City’s blushes in a thrilling Premier League victory over Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace took the lead in the opening minutes curtesy of John Stones own goal before Joachim Andersen added the second with a thumping header.
However, Bernardo Silver set the tone as Manchester City fought back in style. The Portuguese’ pulled one back with his shot deflecting off Jeffery Schlupp past Vicente Guaita.
Haaland headed in Phil Foden’s sumptuous cross to draw level as City put Palace under siege. The former Dortmund striker added the third after pounced on Stones’ wayward shot to put the hosts clear.
At this point the visitors were on the ropes and Haaland again benefiting off it. He picked up Ilkay Gundogan’s through pass and holding off Joel Ward he slotted home with brazen precision to cap a fine performance for himself and for the Citizens.
