Private legal practitioner and prominent member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) legal team, Evans Amankwaah, has extended support to over 100 widows and vulnerable residents of Asokore Mampong.
The initiative aimed to assist those struggling to afford basic necessities during the festive season due to financial challenges.
As a resident of the area with his law chambers also located there, Mr. Amankwaah emphasized the importance of giving back to the community, particularly to those in need.
The donation, held at the Old Palace of the Asokore Mampong Chief, included bags of rice, cooking oil, and canned mackerel. The widows expressed gratitude and joy for the support.
“I pray for success, strength, and God’s protection for the donor. May God grant him long life and good health,” said one beneficiary, Akua Serwaah.
Another widow, Akosua Serwaa, added, “I pray for good health and long life for the person who gave us this.”
Mr. Amankwaah, renowned for his legal expertise and successes for the NDC in the Ashanti Region, stated that the happiness derived from helping the vulnerable inspired his gesture.
“The Almighty God who created and blessed some of us encourages us to help one another, especially the less privileged,” he said.
“Supporting the less-endowed during this festive season brings them joy and fulfillment.”
He also urged Ghanaians to remain law-abiding and pray for the success of an incoming John Mahama government to meet the expectations of all citizens.
