FBN Bank Rebrands To First Bank Ghana, Appoints Sarkodie As New Ambassador

First Bank Ghana

FBN Bank has now officially been unveiled as First Bank Ghana.

A launch ceremony was held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in response to the announcement.

First Bank Ghana is a division of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, the leading bank in Nigeria and West Africa. International Commercial Bank (ICB), which started operations in Ghana in November 1996, was the previous name of First Bank Ghana Limited.

After First Bank of Nigeria Limited acquired a 100% equity position in ICB’s West Africa Operations in 2013 and the Bank of Ghana gave its approval, the bank’s name was changed to FBNBank Ghana Limited, and it is currently referred to as First Bank Ghana.

The rapper and BET winner from Ghana, Sarkodie, has been designated the new brand ambassador for the Bank’s newest division.

At the ceremony, he gave his back-to-back songs, making it an unforgettable occasion.

Currently, First Bank Ghana runs two agencies and twenty-two branches throughout Ghana. To enable commercial transactions by clients from any branch, all of their branches are networked.

First Bank Ghana is dedicated to providing their clients with the best possible service, first-rate financial knowledge, and an exceptional customer experience—all while maintaining the highest standards of value and excellence and constantly prioritising their requirements.

The Bank has expanded its channels to provide its customers with a more comfortable banking experience, including the construction of bill payment systems, the acquisition of VISA and Verve for on- and off-site ATMs, online banking, instant transfer, and eStatement services.
