A 16-year-old final year student identified as Leticia Penaman Kyere of Miracles Senior High School Sunyani in the Bono Region has allegedly committed suicide.
According to the information available, the incident happened at the school’s dining hall at Baakoniaba, a suburb in the Sunyani East municipality of the Bono Region.
The reports further reveal that she was found hanging dead in the school dining hall by her colleagues on Monday, May 17, 2021, around 9:45 pm.
However, obaatanparadioonline.com’s investigation confirms that the Sunyani Municipal Police Service has conveyed the body and deposited it at the morgue for the autopsy.
The mother of the deceased speaking to the media stated that a doctor has confirmed that her daughter did not commit suicide, but was rather killed by unknown assailants.
According to the mother, if the daughter’s death was truly suicide there should have been indicative signs such as urine or faecal matter on the dead body; and also the tongue of the victim stick out as well, but nothing of such happened to Leticia, so she strongly believes in what the doctor has said.
Furthermore, she reigned curses on the supposed killers of her daughter and has vowed to avenge the daughter’s death in any possible way she could.
Meanwhile, the headmistress of the school has stated that there was an “I am not happy” note at the exact place where Leticia died and that would help the police in their investigations.
