The Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development (MoFAD), Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson has stated that the Government is poised to support the fisherfolks by making sure that they get fishing inputs and other logistics at a subsidized price
The Minister, however, challenged fishers at Ketu South and Keta municipalities to embrace the challenges that come with the job as the government continues to support them with subsidized fishing inputs.
According to her, the government is trying its best to make the industry very lucrative, therefore, they should also support by abiding by the regulations governing fishing
The sector minister threw the challenge during a stakeholders engagement with fishers. She took the opportunity to hand over one hundred and twenty-nine subsidized Outboard Motors to the fishers to complement what was given them last year.
