FRANCE: Mbappe Clap Back At FFF President For Disrespecting Zidane

Kylian Mbappe has jumped to the defense of Zinedine Zidane after the President of French Football Federation took a jibe at the former Real Madrid player and manager.

Noel Le Graet was responding to questions regarding Didier Deschamps’contract renewal and appeared to have taken a dig at Zizou which clearly did not go down well with Mbappe.

Graet denied contacting Zidane but admitted the unattached manager “was always under the radar, there is no need to tell stories.”

“Zinédine Zidane to Brazil? He can go wherever he wants, to a club or to a national team. I don’t really care. Did he try to ring me? Definitely not. I wouldn’t have even picked up the phone for him,” added Le Graët.

His comments attracted widespread of criticism from the sporting world including Kylian Mbappe who took to his social media networks to emphatically clap back at Graet saying “Zidane is France, you can’t disrespect the legend like that”

Well, the Paris Saint Germain forward might just have saved the blushes of arguably the greatest French footballer of all time as Graet has now issued an unqualified apology to Zidane.

In an interview with AFP, transcribed by RMC Sport, Le Graët said that his “clumsy comments have created a misunderstanding” and that he “gives his apologies” to Zidane.
