A Young Guy suspected to be an armed robber, Joel Nyarko who is 17yrs has been beaten to pulp for allegedly attempting robbery at Domeabra-Police Tent Opposite the Sky Roofing System in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
Investigations indicate that the suspect is a Gameboy (Fraudster) who resides at Swedru Dwenwoho but often visits his Uncle at Kasoa.
According to reports, the Suspect came with a gang of Armed Robbers in a Vehicle to rob in the community, but alarm blown and the gang run with the vehicle leaving the suspect behind.
The community youths who were furious attacked the suspect mobbing him till he was weak. Through the mob attack, he sustain various forms injuries where his left foot was broken and series of cut on the body and around his face.
The youths then conveyed the suspect with a wheelbarrow from the Community to the road side naked.
An eyewitness named C-D who spoke to the media said after he was dumped naked at the roadside, one Okada rider who was passing by made a comment that “you people come to steal and we the Okada riders are been accused of it”. The Okada rider after making that comment cut of the right ear of the suspect.
Meanwhile Police interrogation with the suspect contradict with that of the residents claim.
The suspect in pain explained that he came around to do something this dawn but some group of guys from nowhere attacked him, robbing him off his belongings including an IPhone, Cedis, Dollars and other accessories which he was carrying.
The Amanfrom Police has conveyed the suspect to the hospital for treatment and has contacted father of the suspect for further investigations.
