Government Assure Public Sector To Robust Pension Scheme

The public sector in Ghana has been guaranteed a strong, responsive pension plan by the government of Ghana through its agency, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations.

The government will roll out a supervisory system in the next month, according to Deputy Minister for Employment and Labor Relations Bright Wreko-Brobbey, who was speaking at the inaugural event of the Public Services Pensioners Association.

The Hemang Lower Denkyira legislature claims that the public service is a complicated enterprise that needs the technological know-how to handle problems as they emerge.

He continued by saying that his organization will work with the Public Services Pension Association to enhance legislative and policy frameworks to promote the expansion of the sector and ensure a better quality of life in retirement.

He has the opinion that he will continue to use technology to ensure that Ghanaians can access pension benefits.

Dr. Evans A. Dzikum, President of CLOSAG, stated that the pension association will assist all employees who retire from the Public Services Organization.

He claims that because their monthly pension payment is inescapably less than their after-tax salary at the time of retirement, civil and public workers would see a significant decline in income when they ultimately retire.

He continued by saying that the Public Services Pensioners Association’s (PSPA) inauguration is in compliance with the clauses in Articles 4(5) and 6(2) of the CLOSAG constitution, which demand that its members be provided with welfare.

Dr. Dzikum tasked the executives with upholding the set operating standards by being firm, impartial, and truthful in the performance of their tasks.
