Gov’t should abide by the IMF Conditionalities when given the loans to help bring back the economy – GPCC To Gov’t

President for Ghana Pentecostal and charismatic Council (GPCC) who doubles as Chairman for the church of Pentecost Apostle Eric Nyamekye has urged government to abide by the IMF Conditionalities when given the loans required which they believe if government goes by the rules it will help the country’s economy to bounce back stronger.

According to him, IMF is an institution which gives guidelines to every country who calls for financial assistance which they believe if government abide by it the countries economy will be strengthen.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye also appealed to the government to put proper structures in the financial sector so the country won’t face financial crisis in the coming years. He said although there’s global challenges which has affected many countries but if the your financial system is strong, the global challenges won’t affect your economy so much.

He made this known to Mireku Nyampong during Ghana Pentecostal and charismatic 2023 conference of heads of churches and organisations held at Pentecost convention Centre at Gomoa Fetteh in the Gomoa East District in the central region.

Adding up on to on going debt exchange programme, Apostle Eric Nyamekye appealed to government to spare the individual bond holders especially the pensioners so people won’t lose confidence in the banking sector.
