Highlife more relevant than Afro and Dancehall- Naa Agyemang

Versatile Highlife artiste, Naa Agyemang says people like to invest in singers than rappers because highlife is the most relevant genre of music in Ghana and that an upcoming artists stand higher chance of attracting a manager if they choose Highlife rather than afro and dancehall music.

He said this last Friday on Obaatanpa Radio’s After Drive Show “Akwaaba” hosted by Ogboro Naghty.

According to the “Kwahu Bepo” singer, Highlife is a soothing genre on it own and easily makes waves citing artists like Ofori Amponsah and recently Kuami Eugene as an example.

He said investors look at all these potentials before picking up an artiste to manage.

He therefore concluded that Highlife is what makes us Ghanaians and that the upcomers must be encouraged to do that genre more.
