Popular Ghanaian comic actor Kalybos has disclosed that the reason why he campaigned for the ruling NPP was because of the benefit he would get.
A number of Ghanaian celebrities threw their weight behind President Nana Addoduringthe 2020 elections. Celebrities like Agya Koo, Matilda Asante, Prince David Osei, Kalybos, Andy Dosty, Bibi Bright, and others all used their social media pages to campaign for the New patriotic party.
During an interview on 3FM Drive with Giovanni Caleb, Kalybos disclosed that he hasn’t regretted campaigning for the NPP although most of the policies introduced are not working anymore.
“ I went ahead to campaign for the NPP Party because of certain policies that helped me. Let me just be selfish for once,” he started.
“ you will understand if you pay school fees. When I had not given birth to my child and was being bombarded with fees from innings every September, I thought Free SHS was my solution” said in twi.
“No, I was not paid. I was going in for the policies and it helped cos ever since that policy was implemented, now I could save money and enter it into different projects”
“ No regret,” he answered when Giovani asked and added that “ That’s the thing with me, I didn’t put any career on the line. As I said it was for a motive and that’s what I wanted to see flourish. It didn’t dent any of my works”.
