‘I didn’t know our MPs and ministers are paid DSTV allowances’ – Kwabena Kwabena regrets campaigning for NPP

Singer and guitarist Kwabena Kwabena has spoken out against the mentality of our leaders in our nation.

In an interview with Adom FM, Kwabena said that our politicians are callous and uncaring about the plight of the people.

They are supposed to serve Ghana, but they really serve themselves, he says. We’re really doing them a favour by taking care of their bills, providing them with free gas, and giving them generous stipends.

After doing research this week, he stated, “It is distressing” to learn of the perks that many of our government officials enjoy.

“How can we grow and earn large wages in an impoverished nation like Ghana while giving ministers huge allowances, including DSTV bills? As a result, “imagine if the individual needs to murder to obtain political power he/she would do and it is really unpleasant.”

He says he didn’t know before, but now that he realizes he won’t be able to trust any politician, he has rethought his position.

Before we can have a better Ghana, we need a change in Ghana, and our leaders must alter their ways.

As a reminder, legendary singer Daddy Lumba with support from Kwabena Kwabena brought us what went to the history books as the biggest campaign song “Woto ma Nana Akufo Addo” in the 2020 Ghana Presidential and Parliamentary Election.

But according to Kwabena Kwabena, he has seen the light now, therefore, he won’t campaign for any political party perhaps including NPP in the upcoming general election irrespective of the amount.
