Bulldog has thrown some shots at Shatta Wale over his recent interview conducted on Good Evening Ghana.
He passed teasing remarks at the SM boss for stuttering when the host of the aforementioned programme asked him if he was on a record label.
Paul asked: “But why are you not on a label?” In response, Shatta Wale, amidst stammering, said: “That’s why I am saying…” Paul Adom Otchere interrupted him with another question, “Is it that no label wants you?”
Shatta replied: “No that’s why I am saying… No, no, not that no label that even… not that no label doesn’t even want to meet Shatta Wale or something.”
Paul Adom Otchere asked the same question again in an effort to get more insight into Shatta Wale’s answer.
This time, Shatta Wale’s reply was more succinct: “What I’m saying is, it’s not me. There are many Ghanaian artists without labels.
It’s against this background that Bullgod mocked Wale on Daybreak Hitz saying, “I didn’t know Shatta Wale stammered until he was asked by Paul Adom Otchere why he wasn’t on a label.”
“Bra Charles, I know you are listening to us. You no dey stammer,” Bullgod said in Pidgin English.
He then added, “He [Shatta Wale] went on Paul Adom Otchere’s show to reiterate what I had said, after saying what I said was nonsense.
“If what I said was nonsense, then what was he doing on Paul’s show, saying the same thing?” Bullgod quizzed Shatta Wale.
Essentially, the foregoing is hinged on a previous statement Bulldog made on the same platform where he said Black Sherif’s maiden album, The Villain I Never was will commercially surpass that of Shatta Wale and Sarkodie who are both set to release their respective albums soon.
He argued that whereas Black Sherif has a viable record label to help solidify his brand, Wale and Sarkodie have none and that will be the determining factor.
