The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency who doubles as the Minister for Fisheries And Acquaculture , Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson has refuted claims and allegations levelled against her that she owns numerous shops at Kasoa New Market .
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Anopa Nkanyan’s morning show on Obaatanpa Radio hosted by Eric Akoto as today marks her birthday, she asserted that she finds it worrying when she is being accused of something she is innocent about.
There has been series of rumours surrounding her in Kasoa that, she owns many shops in the Kasoa New Market and even building new ones. Reacting to this, the honorable member of Parliament noted that she owns only one shop and it’s close to the Npp party’s office which is located at kasoa opeikuma.
She said she leaves those spreading false rumours about her to God. On security issues, she commended the Kasoa Police , the newly central east police command and indicated that the Central East Police Command Headquarters project is steadily progressing. She also revealed that Kasoa will soon get a military barracks to foster it security loopholes .
