Actress and influencer Akuapem Poloo in an emotional revelation shared her ongoing struggle with regret over a controversial incident involving a nude photo with her son.
Speaking candidly in an interview on Accra FM, Poloo expressed deep concern about how her son will perceive the incident as he grows older.
The incident, which occurred in July 2020, led to Poloo’s arrest and subsequent legal proceedings.
Initially posting the photo to celebrate her son’s seventh birthday, she faced heavy criticism and legal repercussions for what was deemed as publishing obscene material and engaging in domestic violence.
Reflecting on the consequences, Poloo stated, “Since childhood, till now, my only regret is the picture I took with my son.” As a single mother, she voiced the need to prepare herself for difficult conversations with her son about the incident and its implications on their relationship.
Poloo’s legal journey saw her sentenced to three months in prison, later commuted to a fine of GHS12,000.
