Jamaica sprint superstar Asafa Powell has revealed he supported Ghana during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Powell touched down in Ghana on February 27 with his Ghanaian-American wife Alyshia Akua Miller.
Speaking in interview with GTV, the Jamaican said he just wanted to see an African country dominate at the Mundial and Ghana was the country he was supporting.
Powell said “I was supporting Ghana at the World Cup. I really want an African country to dominate the World Cup.
He added that he has always supported the Black Stars at the World Cup but any time there is not an African country he prefers to give his support to Germany.
His wife Alyshia Akua Miller explained why she never watched any of Ghana’s games because she was too nervous.
She told GTV “I couldn’t watch a match. I was too nervous.
The couple also visited the family of Christian Atsu today and signed the book of condolence at the family house.
