Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known by his stage name Patoranking says he worked at the Accra Mall at age 17.
Recounting his past life before he became a superstar, Patoranking disclosed that he used to be a student at the reputable tertiary institution, the University of Cape Coast but, dropped out over the high fees charged by the institution for international students.
According to Patoranking his decision to move to the big city of Accra was because he wanted to pursue his dreams and also hustle to make it in life.
Patoranking made this disclosure during an interview with Kojo Manuel on Y107.9FM’s ‘Dryve Of Your Lyfe’ show, he said, “I came to Ghana when I was 17 years and I used to be working at the Accra Mall. I was working at a restaurant directly opposite Frankies at the time.”
Sharing his story and his humble beginings to advise the youth, Patoranking said, “Great things take time in life. Some people want the easy route but we choose the hard way because everything that comes quickly leaves in a similar fashion. But if you take time and work for it, that success will stay.”
