Even after more than 20 years in the music industry, 50 Cent is still setting significant artistic milestones.
The G-Unit mogul’s 2003 smash “In Da Club” passed one billion streams on Spotify on Wednesday (December 14) and became the first song to accomplish this feat on the streaming service.
The song’s cultural impact hasn’t diminished despite turning 20 years old next month. The official music video exceeded 1.5 billion views on YouTube in July, making it the most-watched rap video from the 2000s on the site.
During his unexpected debut at the Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show in February, 50 Cent also performed the classic track and even brought back the G-Unit tank top and headband he’d previously worn.
