Inter Milan hammered fierce foes AC Milan 3-0 to win the Italian Super Cup under the marquee lights of King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
Two first half goals from Federico Dimarco and Edin Dzeko and a late sumptuous third from Lautaro Martinez were enough to sink the Rossoneri.
Dimarco opened the scoring in the 10th minute after tapping in Nicolo Barella’s fine cross before Dzeko fired into the bottom corner to double Inter’s lead after 21 minutes of action.
Argentina World Cup winner Lautaro Martinez placed the icing on the cake with an exquisite outside of the left-foot curler to wrapped up an emphatic victory for the Nerazzurri.
The results marks a landmark victory for Inter Milan as they have now won their first Italian Cup final against AC Milan for the first time ever.
