Controversial Ghanaian socialite, Abena Korkor has disclosed that upon all the men she dated, none of them has taken her outside the country for a vacation.
Speaking in a recent interview, the self-acclaimed mental health advocate that ever since she publicly disclosed that she has been diagnosed with a bipolar disorder, she has been restricted from traveling abroad for a vacation.
For educational purposes Bipolar disorder (formerly called manic-depressive illness or manic depression) is a mental illness that causes unusual shifts in a person’s mood, energy, activity levels, and concentration.
These shifts can make it difficult to carry out day-to-day tasks. The exact cause of bipolar disorder isn’t known, but a combination of genetics, environment and altered brain structure and chemistry may play a role.
Manic episodes may include symptoms such as high energy, reduced need for sleep and loss of touch with reality.
Depressive episodes may include symptoms such as low energy, low motivation and loss of interest in daily activities. Mood episodes last days to months at a time and may also be associated with suicidal thoughts.
Treatment is usually lifelong and often involves a combination of medications and psychotherapy.
A few years ago, Abena Korkor disclosed that she had slept with over a 100 men.
“I have slept with over 100 men at age 32. It’s not something that should be shameful. If a man has slept with over 1,000 women it’s not shameful why me?” she asked. “It is because I was doing try and error” she explained.
“I had a vision. I wanted to get married and be in love. I won’t let someone break my heart and say all men are the same. I still want to be married and have kids. There is God’s will. A lot of women, when they see a rich man they want to get married but I am not like that”. She added.
Well it seems Abena Korkor hasn’t gotten whatever she hoped to get from sleeping with the many men.
