Ghanaian artiste, Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin, professionally known as Joey B has been hailed by renowned music producer, Hammer as one of the country’s finest yet uncredited talents.
Despite his significant contributions to numerous hit tracks, Hammer believes that Joey B’s name often lingers in the shadows, overshadowed by the artists who perform his creations. His knack for crafting captivating beats and innovative soundscapes has earned him quiet reverence among industry insiders, yet mainstream recognition remains elusive.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Media personality Bola Ray, Hammer, whose real name is Edward Nana Poku Osei commended Joey B for his outstanding production skills. However, he lamented that Joey B has not received the recognition he deserves for his work behind the scenes.
“Joey B is one of the best producers in the country, but he hasn’t been credited before,” he said.
