In a move aimed at ensuring peaceful elections in 2024 at Kasoa, The Odikro of Kasoa Nai Seidu Sani Yusif , tribal chiefs and council of churches leaders including central East police command lead a peace talks among political parties in kasoa
The peace talk comes at a time when tensions are rising among political factions npp and ndc at Kasoa.
The peace talks focus on promoting understanding, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among all stakeholders. Executives of both parties were present including incumbent MP Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson.
Addressing the gathering, deputy Central East police commander Acp Ibrahim Sully charge both parties to desist from engaging in political violence especially involving the youth since the youths are the future leaders
He also appeal to them to help promote Kasoa in a good name since Kasoa is one of the peaceful communities in Ghana but it have a bad tag for those leaving outside the township.
Also, Odikro of Kasoa Nai Seidu Sani Yusif said, the aim of this peace talk is to ensure a peaceful election this year unlike some years past
He urge party supporters to think of the peace of Kasoa than their own interest.
The Incumbent MP, minister for fisheries and Aquaculture development Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson also pledge to talk her supporters since she’s ever ready to make kasoa a peaceful place to stay.
