Three persons have received scores of injuries with two of them in a critical condition and receiving treatment at Kasoa Polyclinic in the Central Region following a clashed between Muslim youths during Ramadan Street carnival at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality.
The incident happened on Monday March 31, 2025 around 8pm during the Ramadan street carnival among the Muslim community in Kasoa.
According to the report, the two factions who were involved in the violent clash are said to be Some Youth from Kasoa Zongo and Kasoa Walantu. They are also said to be having unresolved issues leading to the unleashing of attack among themselves.
Eyewitnesses say they used machete, hammer, jack knife, clab and other offensive weapons to fight themselves under the Kasoa overpass.
Police have arrested one person in connection with the violence and currently being detained at the Kasoa Divisional police command.
A hammer and other offensive weapons have been retrieved by police.
