A man in his early 30s has been killed and dumped into the Okrudu river at America town, a suburb of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality in the Central Region.
The only name the onlookers gave as the name of the deceased was Ben and he is a mason
A cohabitant, Mr Kwame Adu who lives in an uncompleted building with the deceased at Kasoa-Insaaniyya told obaatanparadioonline.com reporter, Mireku Nyampong that the deceased stepped out around 3 am this morning without informing them where he was going so it was around 7 am they heard that he has been killed and dumped into the Okrudu river by unknown person(s)
Nobody knows how the incident happened but all indicators point to the fact that he was beating to death and later dumped into the river because he was bruising all over his body and his left hand was broking
The Assemblymember for the American town electoral area, Hon Shadrach Boakye Yiadom said they are shocked about the incident and call on the Kasoa Divisional Police command to extend their police patrols to his area because the crime rate is becoming unbearable in that electoral area.
On his side, the Awutu Senya East NADMO Director, Mr Kwame Amoah said, the body will be sent to the Accra police mortuary for autopsy and further investigations
He however appealed to the people in kasoa to be extra vigilant about their security because the criminal activities within Kasoa are on the ascendancy
