The 2022 Kasoa MP’s Cup tournament kicked off today as tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans filled Kasoa-Akweley AstroTurf for the opening ceremony and first match.
Opeikuma FC faced Banat FC, meeting expectations in a game that ended in 0:1 in favour of Banat FC
The tournament, which is under the auspices of the office of Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson, MP for Awutu Senya East Constituency, features 32 teams in the constituency with a duration of two months
Hon Hawa Koomson and other dignitaries attended the event, including MCE for the area, Hon Anita Love Obo Amissah; Central Region NPP Youth Organiser, Mr. Kenneth Quansah; NPP National Youth Organiser Aspirant, Mr. Prince Kamal Gumah; and constituency executives led by Dr Yaw Darkwah.
It was a very colorful opening ceremony and the winner of the tournament will go home with a very huge amount of money.
