The Campaign Manager for Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson who is Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency, Mr. Emmanuel Afram Anim has set records straight and refuted claims by the NDC that Hawa’s Koomson’s son Ato Koomson attacked NDC members leading to his stabbing incident.
Speaking on Obaatanpa Radio, Mr. Anim stated that the NDC as a political party from the National level to the branch level are full of liars. He says Ato Koomson who is now a victim of the Kasoa stabbing incident was trying to smoke peace with the NDC Executives present at the EC’s office in Kasoa at the time of the misunderstanding but one notorious well known NDC member from nowhere stabbed Ato with the knife without provocation.
The Kasoa EC’s office at Jei River on 2nd June 2024 was faced with violence during the Vote Transfer exercise with people receiving injuries.
The son of Hawa Koomson was stabbed whilst having peace peace talk with the NDC Constituency Organizer known as Dan.
The suspect his name given as Asmah after committing the crime run to a near by Bush. The youth around at that time chased him for the police. The suspect sustained injuries as the youth apprehended him.
Asmah has been remanded into police custody.
The Campaign Manager for Hawa Koomson, Mr. Emmanuel Afram Anim in his opinion accused former President John Dramani Mahama and NDC Parliamentary Candidate Naa Koryoo tagged as Ambassador for Violence for inciting violence among NDC members and called on the Police service to do their work without manipulation.
