Kindly Attend To Lecture Halls For Students Sake -Afenyo Markin

The Deputy Majority Leader who doubles as MP for Effutu,Hon. Alexander Kwaamena Afenyo Markin has pleaded with the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) to return to their various lecture halls.

Speaking with the press today, Mr Afenyo Markin stated that UTAG should consider the plights of students and good faith from government to enable the students achieve their goals for the betterment of the country.

UTAG embarked on strike since January 10 to force government to restore their condition of service. Following the strike the National Labour Commission (NLC) filed an application for an order of the High Court to enforce its directives for UTAG to call of its strike and return to the negotiation table with government.

The Labour Division of the Accra High Court on Tuesday,15th February,2022. precisided by Justice Frank Aboadwe Rockson put an injection on the strike after it upheld an interlocutory application by the National Media Commission.
