KSM takes a swipe at Duncan Williams over failed prayer to ‘arrest’ the cedi

Ghanaian satirist and media personality Kwaku Simtim Misa has mocked charismatic preacher Nicholas Duncan-Williams after his ‘aggressive prayers’ to ‘arrest’ the cedi appreciation failed to yield any result.

Earlier this week, the cedi dropped 1.1% at 11:03 a.m. in Accra, extending its fall this week to 5.2%. That’s the worst decline since the seven-day period ending March 29, 2019.

The measure has plunged 35% this year making it the world’s worst-performing currency after Sri Lanka’s rupee among 150 economies tracked by Bloomberg.

In view of this, KSM who has never been a fan of religion has taken a swipe at the presiding archbishop and general overseer of the Action Chapel International ministry for his famous prayers asking God to use his supernatural powers to salvage the situation.

“It will not fall any further, I command the cedi to climb, I command the resurrection of the cedi. In the name of Jesus I command and release a miracle for Ghana’s economy. In the name of Jesus, Satan I say take your hands off the president, take off your hands on the Central Bank and Finance Minister,” Duncan-Williams said in the prayer.

Per the introductory paragraph, KSM wrote; “You see why GOD works overtime in GH? Too much pressure” and added laughing emojis to his post below.
