Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko have confirmed the appointment of Seydou Zerbo as the club’s new head coach.
The Burkinabe has penned down a one-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors with an option for one year extension.
The 59-year-old will replace Prosper Nartey Ogum, who resigned from the club over disagreements with management.
Coach Ogum spent only one season with Asante Kotoko where he guided them to their record-extending 24th Ghana Premier League title before stepping down.
Zerbo previously managed Burkina Faso at the 2020 CHAN tournament in Cameroon, where the team failed to qualify from the group stages.
The 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League is scheduled to kickstart on the weekend of Friday, September 9 to Monday, September 12 across all centers.
Kotoko will slug it out with newly promoted side Nsoatreman FC at home in their first game of the season.
